Habitat's 'Shelter' Website for the quake-ravaged Christchurch | 18.2.11

Our hearts go out to all families, businesses and communities affected by the devastating earthquake on 22 February in Christchurch NZ. We are in shock and all our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, the rescuers, ERTs, counsellors, teachers, coordinators, medical experts....

We are proud to have put together the 'Shelter' website with Habitat for Humanity (and support from Pegboard and Port80WebDesign) that launched within 24 hours of the project 'go' button. Cantabrians will be able to lodge requests for shelter and accommodation to get them out of a very volatile Christchurch, and Kiwis from all around NZ are able to offer shelter online. Habitat for Humanity will also be organising and mobilising accommodation and transport initiatives in and around Christchurch to help families with housing needs.

Environmental law looks good! | 26.1.10

We Huskies have a particular love of things sustainable, environmental and efficient. Working with Auckland lawyer Vernon Rive (who specialises in environmental, resource management and public law) to put together his branding, stationery, website and blog was thus an exciting and synergetic project for us. Vernon's stationery boasts vegetable-based inks and recycled stocks - yummy yummy - and we believe both his new website and blog are going to become key discussion centres for the industry. Vernon Rive helps make the world a better place and if you need a green lawyer, he's your man!

Doctors on Tractors | 26.12.09

Well not quite, but deep in the west of semi-rural Auckland (Waimauku) is a team of friendly and clever GPs who have set up the brand new Silver Fern Medical Centre. Amid the chaos and deadlines of the clinic construction, we worked with husband and wife GP team Marc and Lois Paton to pull together a new identity, stationery, signage and a website. Highlights of the practice include free mole checks, an on-site pharmacy and a 24/7 on-call service to registered patients! New Leprosy Mission website goes live | 23.6.09

Our design overhaul of both the structure and look and feel of The Leprosy Mission New Zealand’s website, in conjunction with the fine lads at Gorilla has nearly been completed. A beta version of the site has just been launched for testing - exciting! Check out their cool Give One Hour calculator and Leprosy Diagnosis counters. St Paul's launch new vision and website | 20.3.09

St Paul's have been yabbing and yakking a lot lately about their exciting new vision and brand. Their website, popular with members near and far, has thus seen an overhaul in design and functionality to reflect their new vision and direction. The new website features include photography and video, up-to-date news articles, downloadable talks/podcast and a 'Happening Weekly' eNewsletter. What's more, both the content management system and enewsletters are fully-driven inhouse and new site features are going to be developed over time to continually improve this vital communication tool. inTOUCH magazine redesign | 6.3.09

The Leprosy Mission's inTouch magazine has had a little bit of a makeover with the first new-look issue flying out the studio door this month. The magazine is full of wonderful stories about lives being changed through the incredible work of The Leprosy Mission both locally and around the world. Interesting articles include Eyesight Saving in China, the isolation of leprosy and a wee blurb about their new-look, soon to be launched website designed by HUSK and built by Gorilla. Thread Goes Live for Fashion Week | 6.10.08

The Thread website, a joint project between Megan @ Thread, Husk (design and build) and Godzone (content management), was a long time in the making but worth the wait! Launched just in time for Air New Zealand Fashion Week, Thread has made an impressive first-run down the catwalk. The website features thousands of articles discussing everything from who's wearing what, when and where to news and reviews on major NZ music, fashion, culture and beauty-related events. With site content driven by 'CMS Made Simple', Megan manages polls, slideshows, articles, competitions and more, producing a dynamic site that's got it all - and not just for the NZ fashionistas. Even a style-challenged hoody-lover like myself found several articles engrossing! Get threaded.

Husk are extra proud to have designed and built a website for our very own and highly recommended caterers, Celebrationz. Soul Purpose in print + on TV | 21.8.07

Campbell Live recently ran a story on the growing presence of Christian websites online, highlighting prominent organisations around the world and including our very own Soul Purpose in Wellington. Coinciding with the release of the latest Soul Purpose magazine, the story paints Soul Purpose in a positive light and gives evidence that Christians aren't always tea-totalling, sandle-sporting Bible-heads.
