WSPA's Indian Dancing Bears | 10.7.07
Taken grieving from their mothers as a tiny cubs, hundreds of India's 'dancing bears' are in constant pain. With ropes threaded through their sensitive noses, they are tortured by swaying on their hind legs in response to severe yanks on the rope and being hit by sticks. When not performing at fairs, carnivals and markets across India, they're chained to poles, poorly fed and vulnerable to disease and blindness. WSPA are working with the Wildlife Trust of India, to end the torment of the dancing bears and change the lives of rescued bears. As agonising as it was, the Huskies worked with Black to prepare print collateral explaining the plight of these bears in order to seek help and thus funds that would help save their lives.More >>
